22 20, You’ll Learn Plenny

Like the coupla vamps we are, Fiona Nicoll and I have finished revamping the CCST2220 Cultural Studies Theory course here at UQ for next semester. We even have a slogan, “22-20 - you’ll learn plenty” which can be heard echoing around the stairwells of the Michie building of St Lucia as I write. Fiona thinks I’ve missed my calling - I should have been a political strategist, or at least, a marketing major. The very dodgy poster campaign has heightened enrolments, and no doubt eyebrows, around campus. Here’s the outline:

    The class sounds great. I’d learn plenny.

    Did you find that making a reading list for class is a lot like making a mix tape of favourites for friends?
