"I seem to favour bands that sound like they’re covering the Doctor Who theme, even when they’re not."

lol!!!!!!

isn't all pop music a theme song for a tv show that hasn't yet been created, but is, in fact, a tv show 'to come'?

oh wait, I am confusing 'toward a minor literature' with big brother...

Erm, have to admit I've never actually _liked_ Sonic Youth. I am a goth, after all. Except of course, I seem to favour bands that sound like they're covering the Doctor Who theme, even when they're not. For instance, the Cure. I'm not making any sense, am I?

I'm suddenly depressed to realise that the evolution of my musical taste, with the exception of discovering VNV Nation about 5 years ago, stopped sometime in the mid-1990s. Who are all these young whipper-snappers? Well, not the ex-Beach Boy, of course.

Sigh. I wonder what the affliction of preferring to write music rather than listen to it is called.
