Good news

Posted on | May 19, 2006 |

The Cultural Research Network that runs out of a couple of offices right near mine has recently voted in five new members at early stages in their career. I was very excited to find out I’m one of them, but I’m even more so now that I know Kate and Clif have been voted in too. (The other two new members are Olivia Khoo and Emily Potter.) This is especially good news for Kate and I after the disappointment of our Crossroads panel falling through, because it means there will be realistic possibilities for us to work together in future despite the tyranny of distance and the permanent struggle for funding. Yay.

Work will indeed continue apace. And even though we couldn’t make the Istanbul panel happen this time, I suspect it will be taking on other forms before you know it. Shield your eyes!
