Hi Jean and Mel :) Yes I know, I'm still 'flying high', and should probably fade into the (west aussie) background off in celebration land. Instead, here is a link to my pics on the day, mostly of my Brisbane morning walk - then from the Royal Exchange where you both feature. http://www.flickr.com/photos/81538021@N00/sets/72157594308969254/
Twas lovely to meet you both!

[...] Somehow I avoided conference fatigue, enjoying most of the papers, having an awesome time at the dinner and the inevitable after-dinner drinks, feeling very excited about converting blog friends into real friends, and easing out of conference mode with all the excitement of watching the AFL Grand Final at the pub with a hybrid crowd of friends and loved ones, new conference acquaintances and complete strangers (i.e. the always engaging old-men-perched-on-bar-stools) at the Royal Exchange Hotel. But after finally allowing myself to get emotionally invested in the AFL Grand Final, was quite gutted to see the Swans lose by one lousy point. These icons link to social bookmarking sites where readers can share and discover new web pages. [...]
