In brief
Posted on | December 29, 2006 |
So far my ‘holidays’ have involved:
- my ibook crashing
- blue ribbon Brisbane indie rock & Gold Coast hip hop
- a brief return to scotch
- wondering about why I live here and things that shouldn’t matter
- shopping for ill-advised Xmas presents
- buying a sensible hat
- fantasising about getting married (I do this when I’m not on holidays too)
- counselling the broken hearted
- Rage
- pot from Nimbin and David Jones Christmas crackers
- having indigenous mistletoe species personally explained by a Gardening Australia presenter
- Christmas morning coffee with Bob, complete with amusing John Howard anecdotes
- ‘triffle’
- bugs and prawns
- a Singstar extravaganza
- a road trip
- a confirmed pregnancy (I am going to be Aunty Mel!)
- an unexpected death
- rain
- cleaning
- reading
- making lists (like this one!)
- finishing The Sopranos
- planning trip to Europe in March (this I need help with - where else should I go after Helsinki?)
and yesterday:
- being completely derailed by Volver. I didn’t take a hanky, so I had to wait til the lights came up to leave.
Maybe that’s enough for now.
