Normal homes

The latest issue of M/C Journal has just gone live. As you’d probably guess given the name of this blog, I was already compelled to offer something on the theme of “home” before I was asked to; the essay I ended up writing however reacts to some recent events that seemed more urgent. I’m extremely grateful to have been given an outlet for these ongoing frustrations.

Congratulations to Andrew and Robyn for bringing together the breadth of studies of home space and domesticity currently underway. This will be such a useful resource for me for the next few years. Let’s hope it’s widely read.
