-Apparently- the SOPHI office can assist with profile page updates. Send an email. AFAIK the Arts page update shouldn’t prevent this from happening.

There’s no excuse for rudeness with this – it’s all so competitive and agressive.And no assistance for grad students as yo how you shoudl report your pubications. I’ve tried and been defeated twice and have given up. They dont’ make it easy.

As for access to your profile page, the web system @ Sydney is horrendous, to me – so monolithic and corporate. You can’t edit anything on the uni’s webpages (including faculty pages) unless you’ve Been to Training. Even experienced web developers have to be Trained before they can edit or create pages.

That’s what I was asked for as well, Laura. And the way it was conveyed to me by the aggro dude was so gross, like somehow Sydney OWNS my life up until now.

I appreciate they have a job to do, but if they asked nicely it would help…

Tama at my institution they are asking us to prepare a list of all eligible pubs between 2002-2008 regardless of when you started to work at the institution.

ERA is just so much fun, isn’t it? I managed to find myself on my school’s committee at Curtin figuring out how to count, among other things, creative output (which I don’t have myself). Of course, given I joined Curtin this year, and the ERA cutoff for the Humanities trial is 31 March 2008, my research doesn’t even get included. The joys of the red tape …
